Mathew has voiced several characters which include Kagaya Ubuyashiki in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Aikurō Mikisugi in Kill la Kill and many more. Before becoming a prolific voice actor, Mercer was a student at Agoura High School. It was during high school he developed that desire for voice acting.

Mathew started his career as a performer for several Japanese anime characters. His exceptional work gave him the opportunity to work for several cartoons, other video games and radio commercials. He also had the chance for been a guest at several conventions around the world. Some of the events include Anime Expo and Anime Matsuri.
