Kristen Stewart Would Rewear Her 'Twilight' Wedding Dress

One of the most memorable moments of 2011's The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (and perhaps the entire Twilight cinematic epic) was Bella and Edward's wedding, which featured Kristen Stewart in an unforgettable long-sleeved wedding gown. The actress, who is currently engaged to Dylan Meyer, recently spoke to WhoWhatWear about the big moment, which she reflected on fondly, saying that if she were going to have a traditional wedding, she'd definitely opt for a gown similar to her character's. 

Stewart, who stars in the new bodybuilding movie Love Lies Bleeding, explained that the process of filming the wedding felt real thanks to the secretive nature of the Twilight movies in general and how she had to be hidden away to get ready for filming.

“I love that dress so much,” Stewart said of the dress, which was designed by Carolina Herrera and featured French Chantilly lace and a scoop neckline. “I remember getting into it. It felt like getting into a real wedding dress because I was being hidden in some room with, like, heaters, and I was like, ‘It’s too hot in here, and my makeup’s melting off.’"

“And they’re like, ‘Well, we’re not going to be ready for another 30 minutes.’ It was like, ‘But I’m ready now. This is the time that I can play the bride,’" she added before describing the dress as "classic" and timeless. People noted that although she's planning her wedding at the moment, the actress didn't give any clues as to what she'd wear on the big day.

"Yeah, I think if I were to ever do like a classic wedding dress, this is kind of the one," she explained. She did hint at what she wouldn't be wearing, though, saying that she's grateful for having an opportunity to go very traditional because her style now is very pantsless and androgynous. 

"I’m not going to do it, but I got to do it," she said. "I appreciate that."
