Diptyque's Do Son Family Just Launched a Limited Edition Collection

Diptyque is popularly known for its luxury candles, but true fans know that the French brand also offers fragrance, skincare, diffusers, and even home décor. Furthermore, Diptyque is also famously known for several of its iconic scent families, such as Baies and Do Son.

The latter just launched a limited edition collection, and it's fabulous.

Do Son's scent blends tuberose, jasmine, orange blossom, creating a fresh and floral marine accord. And while those are all beautiful words, to commoners like myself, it smells of a spicy, and somewhat salty, floral. It's classic, yet there's an unexpected twist that makes the fragrance exciting.

A press release sent to InStyle explains how Diptyque co-founder, Yves Couselant, spent his childhood summers at the seaside in Do Son, located in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. "The sea breeze carried with it the heady and slightly spicy scent of tuberoses that his mother so loved," it reads. "Do Son has both the delicateness and persistence of a memory from a childhood in Indochina."
